ISL Renamed Supported Living

Fair Ways are clarifying the name of one of our services.

With immediate effect, the term Supportive Living (SL) will be used to describe this service. Over the years this service has also been known as Post – 16 or ISL or most recently Intensive Supported Living and these terms are used interchangeably across our charity.

These different names cause confusion both internally and especially externally with the Local Authorities we deal with. In addition, the Supported Living sector is changing and going forward, all Supported Living facilities will now be regulated and inspected by Ofsted from 2024.
