Here at Fair Ways, we encourage our team members and colleagues to go above and beyond, to find their passion and to take up new hobbies outside of work.
Jean from the Residential Family Centre is a prime example of this.
For around the last 12 months, Jean’s time away from the Family Centre has involved creating knitted baby cocoons and keepsakes which she has kindly been donating to the Princess Anne Hospital (Neonatal Unit), and Funeral Directors in Hythe, Holbury and Eastleigh.
During the recent passing of her husband, Jean has found this passion has given her a purpose during her spare time and we have offered to see if we can help Jean with this passion project. It currently costs Jean approximately £150 in wool to make around 30 cocoons.
We are looking to support in any way possible – this could mean you have spare wool that you could donate, spare time to help make more cocoons, or donate a small amount to Jean to help with the financial cost of making these.
If you wish to support Jean and help keep this good gesture going, please contact Sophie Stantiall (RFC Team Leader) via email at Sophie.Stantiall@fairways.co
