RiiSE is our new trauma and attachment-informed training programme designed to support staff teams with successfully managing behaviour that challenges. In order to support this incredible initiative effectively across the organisation we are looking to develop a number of existing staff members to become RiiSE Coaches.

We are looking for RiiSE coaches in:

  • GLADE School – 2 coaches
  • Residential Family Centre – 1 coach
  • Manor Farm Cottage – 1 coach
  • Swanwick School – 2 coaches
  • Athelstan Place – 1 coach

All RiiSE Coaches will need to commit to the following:

  • Leading as RiiSE Champions within their service
  • Being proactive in embedding a consistent and effective trauma-informed approach to behaviour management and therapeutic practice
  • Sharing the RiiSE ethos and values inhouse and take a lead on looking at the function of behaviour in your service users more closely
  • Sharing your skills with the wider Fair Ways community through delivering training.
  • Being flexible, confident and an excellent communicator.

This Coaching role is to be implemented alongside your existing role with the support of your manager. If successful, whilst delivering training you will be paid a minimum of £16.17 per hour or an uplift of 25% from your normal hourly rate.

All applicants will need to have at least 2 years sector relevant experience within their previous education or employment.

All applications would be as per the standard internal application requirements, meaning you will need to have passed probation, not be under a formal Performance Improvement Plan or have any live disciplinary sanctions.

Full training will be provided for successful applicants. All successful applicants will need to complete 8 days of training and be successful in the associated formal assessments to receive the RiiSE Coach accreditation and work within the RiiSE Coach role.

Upon application, you will need to ensure with your manager that you can attend one of the interview dates and both of the training weeks below. (The training will be paid for at your normal hourly rate):

  • Tuesday 4th July (Interview Day)
  • Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th July, plus 1-day co-delivery on RiiSE Foundation course between Monday 17th – Friday 21st July (RiiSE Coach Upskilling Days)
  • Monday 13th – Friday 17th October (RiiSE Coach Annual Five-Day Training)

Please note – You do not need to:

  • Have any experience in training
  • Have any prior knowledge of trauma-informed practice or attachment
